I have recently started using Outlook 2007.
My list of contacts has two columns of interest: "FILE AS" and "FULL NAME". I wish to replace the list of names in the second column with those from the first column, keeping the rest of the data in the rows the same; then delete the first column. How do I do that? Your help is appreciated. |

I wonder to which view you are referring? I can't guess. Why don't you tell
us and save us the trouble. "My list of Contacts" means nothing to us. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Shortly" wrote in message ... I have recently started using Outlook 2007. My basic problem is with the email address book. It has three columns headed
"Name", "Display Name" and "Email Address". In the Name column the names are listed as first name followed by last name and the address book lists the names in alphabetical order by first names. I cannot find a way to get the address book to show the names in alpahbetical order by last names! I understand that the Address Book gets its information from Outlook Contacts. In the main part of the Contacts window in Outlook 2007 I have arranged four columns headed "Full Name", "File As", "E-mail" and "E-mail Displays As". The "Full Name" column has first names followed by last names; the "File As" column has last names followed by first names. The last two are email addresses and display names. Using the "File As" column I can get the names into alphabetical order, last names first. Problem is I cannot get the email address book to list the names alphabetically, lst names first! I hope this is clearer. Thank you for your help. "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: I wonder to which view you are referring? I can't guess. Why don't you tell us and save us the trouble.
