Default Outlook 2003 Client not resolving Distributions lists

In outlook 2000 we have distribution lists like _Team; _Leaders etc.

From a new outlook 2003 client the email is sent to @team instead of to the
members of _team.

How does a 2003 Outlook client use the same Distribution lists the Outlook
2000 clients use?
