O.K. I am using a desktop with O/S: Windows XP Professional, Version 5.1,
w/Service Pack 2, Br: Version 7; Country/Region: United States. And Office Standard Edition 2003. Here's the problem: I use Contacts for my address book. I have not configured Outlook or Contacts in any special way - I just use it as I found it when I installed Office. I just enter them as new and update when I call them up. However, sometimes I can't find someone so create a new Contact and when I go to save it, it says that this Contact is already there and do I want to update or add it as new. Why can't I find these Contacts in my list that I call up from the Outlook home page? |

Why can't I find these Contacts in my list that I call up from the Outlook home page? Probably because you're looking at the Mail view of the Navigation Pane. The Mail view will show you only the folders containing Mail items. Click on the "Contacts" or "Folder List" button at the bottom of the Nav pane to be able to see your Contacts folder. Look inside that folder to see your contacts. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

Well you must be right! I found numerous double entries that way. Thank
you! Still can't figure out why they won't come up through the Mail View which is where I need them. I appreciate the help! "Brian Tillman" wrote: Knightrider215 wrote: O.K. As I said, the Mail view specifically limits the display to only Mail folders. Use the Folder List view is you always want to see all folders. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
