I am using Vista and will be faxing a distribution list I have made later
this week, I have been told to use only the numbers eg: 1234567 instead with a dash:123-4567, when faxing from my desktop. All of the numbers are local and I don't think they require a +1 and bracketed area code. I have changed the modem and phone options in control panel to "Canada" from Cambodia, (and it has worked for contacts I am editing, but others still show up as Cambodia), but the actual local numbers are saving as (longdistance) with a +1 and bracketed ()area code along with a dash in between the numbers. Any ideas on how to get rid of area code, and dashes? Thanks! |

Thank you I will try it out and yes the DL is also on my contacts so I will
check out the ohter link you have sent me. Thanks! "Diane Poremsky" wrote: are the members of the DL also in contacts? If so, you could create a custom view that shows the members and the fields you need http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/copy_data.htm - create a custom field to display just the last digits of the phone # - this formula will convert 7 digit US numbers in the format of (202) 222-3456 to 2223456 Left(Right([Business Phone],8),3)+Right([Business Phone],4) the basics of creating a custom field is he http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/remindertime.htm -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Min" wrote in message ...
