I primarily use OL for tasks & contacts in my clerical support role. I'm
trying to copy contacts that I saved on my jump drive as a PST file onto my home laptop and I keep getting an incorrect password error message at the personal folders box when trying to import the data file. I'm using the directions from MS Outlook's site. I was successful transporting from PC-PC some time ago at the worksite using a floppy. Also, though it works, I don' quite understand why my floppy has to be used at the 2nd PC where I exported the file to whenever I open Outlook. Thanx to anyone much more proficient than me!-- brennie |

You never transfer data by importing. You open the file in Outlook. You can
only open a file that is on a hard drive and that has no read only attribute. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "rookiemp" wrote in message ... Im still lost on why OL would not open on my nd work PC w/o the floppy
containing the pst file even tho it was already installed on the PC. -- brennie "rookiemp" wrote: I primarily use OL for tasks & contacts in my clerical support role. Because you had not reset that Outlook profile to the proper location of
your file. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "rookiemp" wrote in message ...
