I have searched for two days for the name of the Verizon Online LDAP Server
so that I can import my address book from Verizon Online into Outlook. I contacted Verizon and they said that this was not possible. Why is there a semi-wizard in Outlook for connecting to an LDAP server if I cannot import my addresses this way? |

Does Verizon expose their LDAP server to the internet? BTW, you wouldn't
actually import it, you'd connect to it live as another acct. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Jaffron08" wrote in message ... Fine. So you do not import it. How do you connect to the Verizon LDAP?
What is its name??? I need to connect to it to get my address book! It does not matter the manner (import, export, live connection, etc.) in which I get it. Please help me get my contacts. |

So, when Verizon says it is not possible, why are you asking a non-Verizon forum how to do it?
Look at the Verizon forums to see if anyone has successfully connected to a Verizon LDAP server from a third party program like Outlook. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact.
