![]() I have a customer that would like to import contacts from an Excel file. That's no problem. But, this customer wants to import fields that do not exist in Outlook. Example: Last Visit Date, Last Payment Date, Purchase History. I know that in Outlook 2007 that I can select the "All Fields" option from the "Show" group and add new user-defined data fields. My problen is, when I get to the "Map Custom Fields" step of my Import, I don't see the new user-defined fields in the "To" frame. I do, however, see User 1, User 2, User 3, User 4. Am I limited to these four? This works, but the customer will need many more than these four fields. Thank you as always. denny -- dslocum |

You will need a 3rd party product (or write your own code) to import to
user-defined fields. 2 options available to you (there are others) This free utility will solve your problem especially if this is either a one-time or casual requirement (product not related to us - provided for info only) http://www.codetwo.com/pages/freewar...ook_export.php In the event you require more advanced features - you can review our export product options (not free) he http://www.contactgenie.com/cgxfeatures.htm Karl __________________________________________________ _ Karl Timmermans - The Claxton Group ContactGenie - Importer 1.3 / DataPorter 2.0 / Exporter "Power contact importers/exporters for MS Outlook '2000/2007" http://www.contactgenie.com "dslocum" wrote in message ... there is also Aladdins Office Documents, which can create Excel
Spreadsheets, Word Documents etc. You can save an Excel template and reuse it for additional exports, allowing two click exports of selected contacts when set-up. http://www.software-solutions.co.nz/.../alodabout.asp Jason "dslocum" wrote in message ...
