Default Remove + from phone numbers

I am in Brazil, with a Windows Mobile phone and in outlook, the prefix for
calling (015) is changed to +015 in Outlook.

This somehow prevents the phone from dialing correctly, but if I delete the
+ then it is added back automatically.

How do I delete the + ??

Thanks

Store your numbers in full international format. Don't drop the + sign. Do
drop the 0 -- it is a dialing prefix, not part of the phone number. The
format you want is:
+55 13 nnnnnnnn

Thanks for the response.

I seem to have something set up incorrectly, because it is dialing the 55,
apparently, and it should not be dialing it as I am located in Brazil.

I can't find any tutorial to show me how to set up my location and dialing
rules, as this is obviously the problem.

Another question, once I sync it to my phone, does windows Mobile know when
I am within my area code, or within the same country? How will it know when
to apply which rules?

Hope I haven't overloaded you with questions....

In Windows/Outlook, set up your location in "Dialing Properties", which can
be found in a Contact at:
Actions | Call Contact | New Call
Fill in your country and area code. The Windows Dialer used by Outlook will
correctly dial numbers formatted in international format.

Same for Windows Mobile. If your numbers are in full international format,
the phone will dial them correctly - whether the call is international,
domestic long distance or local.
