I have just recently upgraded from Office 97 to Office 2007. I want to send
a postal letter to a contact. I cannot find that function in Office 2007 or in its Help. What do I do to send a postal letter to someone without having to re-type the contact information in Word? |

Open a new document in Word, and add the Address Book icon to your QAT. Then in the document, click on the Address Book icon, choose your contact, and the address will be inserted into your document. I am having the same issue. Thanks for the help, but can we get in plain
English? Where is the Address Book icon and what is a QAT? I have to add to the grumbles ... as long time Office user there is no reason simple functions such as this should become so obsure in the 2007 update. Very unfortunate.... and major waste of our time trying to run this stuff down. ------ and add the Address Book icon to your QAT. The QAT is your Quick Access Toolbar - it's the little bar to the right of the Office button, above the ribbon. Click on the drop-down arrow to the right of the toolbar and add the Address book icon to it. |

Thanks. Did that, but now whenever I try to insert an address using this
method, Word 07 crashes and an error message is sent to Mircosoft. Have not been able to simply create a letter for a single contact with this method. "Gordon" wrote: "ehm1217" wrote in message ... Then I suggest you post a message to microsoft.public.word.newusers with the exact contents of any error messages you get... |

Verify that your Outlook and Word versions match. Specify how you configured
the Outlook Address Book and how it works in Outlook. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "ehm1217" wrote in message ... Thanks.
