I just switched computers. I was using Outlook 2007 on my previous Windows
XP computer. Now i am using Outlook 2007 on a Windows vista system. I successfully transferred my emails and contacts to the new computer. I can see my contacts when i select contacts in the navigation pane on the right of the screen in outlook. However, i cannot search my contacts in two contexts. First, when i type a name in the "search address books" bar on the top of the screen. Nor can i search my contacts when i push the "to" button in a new mail message. I tried going to account settings Address books and add or change an address books. Nothing seems to work. I would prefer not to set up a new windows profile if that can be avoided. Any suggestions? |

Go to Account Settings | Address Books and add new Outlook Address Book. 4. Now ensure that the option "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book" is checked on in the contact folder properties on the "Outlook Address Book" tab. -- Best regards, Michal [Microsoft Outlook MVP] http://www.codetwo.com Share Outlook on the net without Exchange! |

Most likely this will not work with Outlook 2007 since the option to remove
the service does not exist. User will most likely have to create a new profile from scratch. They appear to have migrated their data incorrectly and corrupted this profile. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Michal [Outlook MVP]" wrote in message ... Dean wrote: I just switched computers. It was possible in previous versions. -- Best regards, Michal Bednarz [Outlook MVP] http://www.codetwo.com Share Outlook on the net without Exchange! |

It's a bug that's been reported since the beta. Apparently it will not be
fixed. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Michal [Outlook MVP]" wrote in message ...
