Default Removing email address from contact

Is there a universal way (other than going through each individual contact)
to prevent the email address of a contact from showing when sending an email.
I would like just the name to appear without the email address in
parentheses. Thank you

Possibly with one of the third-party tools you can find on the Internet.

Why does it bother you that the address is visible? When you use addresses
from the cache the address will display.
