Let me make sure I understand your question. You think Outlook should be
able to retain links to items that no longer exist? Maybe you could clarify your question. I'm not following the logic here. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Bob" wrote in message news ![]() Want to save email activities in contacts folder and be able to access old emails even after I have emptied the sent and deleted folders |

Russ
I am limited to the size of my outlook mail box at work so I have to delete all emails from my "SENT" and "DELETED" folders monthly. When I do this I am no longer able to view the emails which previously resided in these folders, by clicking the "ACTIVITIES" tab in Outlooks Contact folder. If I archived on a regular basis and then deleted the contents of the "SENT" and "DELETED" folders, would I then be able to access the deleted emails through the "Activities" tab in Outlook or is there another way I can retain these emails forever as they are from clients and previous communication is critical with them for regulation purposes.? Thank you for trying to help Bob "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Let me make sure I understand your question. You think Outlook should be able to retain links to items that no longer exist? You would want to archive them to another folder, not delete them.
