Default Outlook Contacts Field reverting

I have about 9 users sharing 5 different contacts we created. These contact
lists have customised fields. For some reason, fields on the contacts keeps
reverting to the fields from another contact list. This doesn't happen to a
certain contact list and affects all 5 contact lists. Is there anyway of
locking all the fileds to the respective contact lists?Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
