do it from contacts - filter by category, select the contacts and choose
Actions, new message to contacts or Actions, Create, New message to
contacts.

And another way (just to clear up the "I can't sort by Category" aspect) You
cannot sort by Category, but you can group by Category, or as Diane
described, filter By Category. There's a view called By Category which
groups by Category. Turn on the Advancd Toolbar and you will see a set of
available vews.

Just trying to do the group by Country, Category, Full name - but the
contacts all have a heading that I don't need (Canada, category, name and
then the contact) - how do I turn off the heading - I want the same view as
by Category but grouped.. it is hard to read with the headings..

I think you're describing that you are grouping it by 3 fields, in that case
it does look messy as it shows in 3 levels of grouping. You cannot get rid
of the headings - they are the group dividers.

I found a workaround - set up a customized field where I have the information
from the Categories, then sorted it by Country/my Category/fullname - also
noticed that if I resorted for some reason, I would still get back my
customized view, by selecting Country/my Category/fullname with my shift key
and selecting those fields!
