Default "file as" first name last name...

I want to be able to "file as" first name last name. I go to tools, etc,
and there is no option to be able to "file as" first name last name. The
ONLY option for "file as" is last name first name.

The contacts do come out as first name but are not "filed as" first name.
So then when I sync with my Treo 650 they are filed as last name first name.

Please help!

Russ,

That is only for "new" contacts. How do i change the order now with so many

Of course. That's what you asked.
To change the File As... field for existing Contacts you must run code:

2 things.....

1. On the instructions, it (#1 to be exact) it states to go to file new and
mail message.....then forms etc. That does not exist under new mail message
but it does exist under new contact. So I did exactly what the instructions
stated under new contact instead of new message..and doing it this way I was
able to follow the instructions exactly. And I finished.

2. I received a "Syntax error Line No:1"

I am using outlook 2003 SP1. Let me know what else I can do...

I really appreciate your help....

No idea. You'd need to post this to a programming group.
