Dear Sir / Madam,

I'm running Outlook 2007 (SP1) on my laptop and have a free Hotmail account.
I recently installed the Outlook Connector (12.0.6237.1003) and this seems
to be syncronising my Hotmail Contacts correctly.

If I look in the Contacts Tab of the Outlook application I can see 2 contact
"address books" - 1 for Outlook and 1 for . Whenever I add /
change a contact, I tend to do this in the Outlook "address book" and then
copy and paste the updated contact card into my "address
book".

There have been times when I've forgetten to copy the contact card over
which has then results in my 2 address books being out of sync. Rather than
running 2 "address books" (I don't want / need to seperate my business
contacts from my private ones), I was wondering whether there is a way to
have all the contacts stored in a single address book which is then
syncronised between Outlook and Hotmail.

Do you only use the hotmail account? If so, set the hotmail message store as
default (tools, accounts, data files tab). If you use pop accts too,
setting the hotmail acct as default would result in all pop mail delivered
to the hotmail acct and uploaded to the hotmail server.

Unfortunately I use my Outlook as my business communication tool and Hotmail
as my private communication tool and therefore the E-Mail addresses
associated with the 2 accounts differ. That said, I would still prefer it if
I only had 1 address book to manage if this is possible.

It's not possible within 1 profile. You'll have the local contacts and the
ones in the hotmail acct. you could create 2 profiles- one for personal, one
for business.
