Default e-mail

My e-mail will not send it just sits in my outbox and says error unable to
connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server? please help I

Not sure what this has to do with Contacts.
Post complete detail in the general group including mail account type, how
you configured it, how you are sending messages, and exactly what happens
when you try including the precise error message. Also state whether mail
sending ever worked in this profile, and if so, what steps created the
problem.

Has it EVER worked? Have you checked the status of your mail server? Have
you done the "Test Account Settings" in the mail account setup dialog?
