I am having fellow associate send his contact list via e-mail. I receive his

Outlook blocked this attachment. Can anyone explain what is happening and how
i can get this list of contacts?

The contact list is sent directly from Outlook. the format is found in the

There is no information here that would make sense.
You would never use Import or Export to transfer Outlook data.
You cannot send a group of Contacts directly from Outlook.
Provide precise and accurate steps. Answer the questions I asked.

If you open Contacts tab in Outlook and click on the File menu and open the
Import Export tab it asks the method of import or export. The associate that
sent the file used this method. I received the email with the attachment
indication showing the paper clip. This was not available to open as the
message displayed said "Outlook blocked the potential harmless file from
opening."

The contact list is from the contact tab of Outlook itself and it says it is
a pst format.

Then the associate used export to create a separate PST file but could not
have sent that file directly from Outlook. Hopefully he or she knew they
would have to close Outlook and restart it before they sent the file, or
else it will be corrupt. Exporting is a poor choice for creating PST files.
You'll find out when you open it. PST files are among the many file types
that must obey Outlook's well documented email security restrictions:

But what export format did s/he choose from the multiple formats available?
PST, CSV, TSV, Access, Excel?
