Ever since we upgraded our system to Vista, my Outlook folders default to a
view where the “To” field is included but not “From”. This is obviously pretty useless as I’m always the “To”. I’ve been manually changing folders one by one, adding the From field and deleting the To field, and once I change the folder, it cooperates. But is there a way to change my default so that all folders have the From field but not the To field, and so that new folders are automatically configured that way? I have about 500 folders, so it would take awhile to change each one by hand, and I’m constantly creating new folders (which are using the same frustrating default). Thanks, |

you may just need to reset the global views using the /cleanviews switch -
if not, use the method here to fix the view and apply it to all folders: http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/grouping.htm -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
