my contacts used to be shown in categories that I could expand by clicking
the '+' sign or collapsing by clicking the '-' button. However I clicked 'file as' which is on the top of a column and now I cannot get it back to the original display mode that i prefer. I have tried clicking the 'sort by categories' option but this does not work. At the moment I have just one long list of contracts.!!! -- webmaster x |

State the view to which you are referring.
State your Outlook version. State more clearly what you want to do. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "webmaster x" wrote in message ... my contacts used to be shown in categories that I could expand by clicking the '+' sign or collapsing by clicking the '-' button. I'm using outlook 2003,
I am viewing my contacts by name full name first. I have a number of categories i.e 'personal', 'Business', e.t.c in these categories I have a number of contacts, those listed as 'personal' or 'Business' are to be found in these expandable /collapsible groups. However I recently clicked the top of the column marked 'file as' and now everything is mixed up and I cannot put it back to the original way as mentioned above -- webmaster x "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: State the view to which you are referring. You still failed to state the view you are using.
Why not just use the "By Category" view? -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "webmaster x" wrote in message ... I'm using outlook 2003, I am viewing my contacts by name full name first.
