Hello;
I am having great difficulty trying to resolve an ldap issue that my users are having in outlook 2007. We are presently in the process of upgrading from office 2000 to office 2007. The problem did not occur in outlook 2000. The problem is: In outlook 2007, if a user does an ldap search on approximately 6 or more users, and than tries sending the message, a Microsoft LDAP error message pops up: "Error 52: Cannot connect to internet directory service (LDAP) server fc.hwcdsb.edu.on.ca. First check your network connection. Than check your LDAP server settings: On the tools menu, click account settings, click the address books tab, click the directory name, then click Change or Remove to modify or delete the directory." I have googled the message, and there is next to nothing on this. There was something i found that said to remove the ldap entry for fc.hwcdsb.edu.on.ca. which is not an acceptable solution. Is there a difference in the way outlook 2007 handles ldap, than the way outlook 2000 handled it? Would anyone know how to get around this? I have checked the event log, on the workstations and on our exchange 2000 server...there is nothing. fc.hwcdsb.edu.on.ca is a firstclass conferencing/email system. I have called there support, and they were unable to see any issues on that system.....which i believe since outlook 2000 does not have a problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thx. Paul |
