There are no settings within Outlook that control synching. Moreover,
Outlook takes no active role in the sync process. All sync behavior is up
to the applixation you use to sync, which is, in your case, iTunes. Speak
to the people who make iTunes.

Brian - I agree in part but not in total. Case in point, I recently had my
outlook reconfigured for a new exchange server setup. However, I do not keep
my contacts on the Exchange server but in my personal folders.

Unfortunately, when I synched the next time, it synched with the exchange
server as it appears to somehow be the "primary" account or whatever in
Outlook. I have checked all the Iphone settings and Itunes settings. This
appears to be an Outlook "problem".

Perhaps there is another way to assign "primary" back to my personal account
as it was before?

Set your delivery location to your .pst file. iTunes appears to synch only
with the default delivery store. Check with iTunes - synching is never an
Outlook issue as it is only the repository for the data - it does what the
synch program dictates.

Yes thanks Milly. I had attempted to reply to my own post after I had done
just that but somehow didn't take.

I agree that it wasn't an Outlook or Itunes problem it was an operator
problem. If the default had been set to the pst instead of the ost file it
would never have happened.

Thanks again.

You should use the Exchnage mailbox as your delivery location.

It's not a "problem". It's how Outlook is supposed to be configured when
using Exchange.

Perhaps there is another way to assign "primary" back to my personal
account
as it was before?

There is, but you will lose most of the advantages of using Exchange is you
use the PST as the delivery location.
