When I create an e-mail (I use Word 2003) and go to an adress book to select
names I want to see the name in Last Name, First Name format so I can find people more easily (the actual display name can be First Name aaaaaalst Name). I've checked all the various help options and no luck. I've recently had to re-install all my softeware. Prior to that my adress book (same set of contacts) appeared Last Name, First Name. What can I do? Any suggestions? |

Russ, thanks for getting back so quickly. One problem -- When I click on
View or change existing directories or address books the next screne does NOT have OUTLOOK ADDRESS BOOK as an option. It doesn't appear anywhere on the page. Now what do I do???? Brian, I never got notification of your response so I do apologize for not
responding. I followed your suggestion and, after I closed and re-opened Outlook, I tried to send a new e-mail. When I opened my address book it was still showing the names with the first name then last name format. Any additional ideas? Since you say you followed my suggestion, you must have not set the sort order when you re-added the Outlook Address Book service. Perform the steps Russ stated. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
