How do I import contact names/#'s/email addresses into a new distro list in
outlook, from an excel file. I created a test excel file and tried to do the import/export option in Outlook and mapped the data and said okay. Now, i can't find it. I have a lot of names and info that I want to type in a worksheet and then take those names and create a distro list. Can this be done? Thanks. |

After posting, I looked through previous posts. I have tried to create a
contacts folder and import the excel, but there is nothing there. I've created the name ranges and all of that, but there's has to be a way. Does it import a list into the contacts folder or an individual name? "Karen" wrote: How do I import contact names/#'s/email addresses into a new distro list in outlook, from an excel file. Eventually it will be a dl. There are too many names for individual contacts.
I have Outlook 2003. "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: Do you want to import the names to individual contacts or into a DL? there might be too many names for a DL too - it depends on the limits of
your server. in any event, this link shows how to make a dl from a list of addresses: Create a DL from the list: http://www.slipstick.com/Tutorials/create/dl.asp -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
