Is it possible to populate a field with the same data across multiple contacts?

I would like to select all contacts from a specific company and then enter
only once the name of the company, not to have to enter the company name for
each individual contact

This is for example possible in Windows Media Player where you can select
multiple tracks, rights click to edit the "Album" field for one of the
selected track, and Windows media player automatically ask if you want to
populate to all the selected tracks or not.

it's a little more challenging in Outlook.

If you Group By Company, you can edit one, then drag the other Contacts into
the Group and their company data will also change.
