That means either outlook isn't closing completely or the profile is
corrupt. See http://www.slipstick.com/problems/nicknamecache.asp -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: "teresa" wrote in message ... I am having a similar problem with autocomplete. I have Windows XP and Microsoft 2007. The autocomplete feature is checked in Outlook. The autocomplete feature works as long as Outlook is on. However, if you close Outlook and open it back up, the autocomplete feature doesn't work and it is still checked in the options menu. I have searched for the nk2 file and it does not show up on the search. I have made sure the advanced options showed the hidden files, but it still doesn't find it. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Teresa "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: If you have enabled autocompletion and have populated a cache by sending messages, then you will have an NK2 file. Is there a size limit to this .nk2 file? Is there any way to restore a
version from yesterday? I sent an email to a couple of thousand people and now my auto-complete feature is only showing those names. I am missing a lot of other ones that used to be there? Any ideas? Thank you... "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: If you have enabled autocompletion and have populated a cache by sending messages, then you will have an NK2 file.
