I have imported data from an EXCEL file into my Outlook 2007 contacts. I now
have inconsisted upper and lower case use throughout the contacts. Some contacts are, for example, upper case: ROBERT SMITH and some are lower case: Mary Jones Can I tell Outlook, for example, to make all the entries in the column "initial upper case," so that ROBERT SMITH will become Robert Smith? I will appreciate advice. |

You may wish to consider cleaning up the data at the source instead of
after the fact. Excel has several Text functions that would help in the process found under Formulas (for additional info - refer to Excel help file). Delete the original imported contacts and re-import the cleaned up file. You'll need to do it in Excel before importing (using Excel's functions) as
outlook doesn't have the ability to change it, other than by your editing it. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
