Default How do I send one email to 5000 clients with outlook 2007?

I am trying to send email newsletters to our clients whose total combined
email address come to over 5000 people. I know how to make it personalised.
I created a distribution list which I select in the 'To' box. but wen I go
to send it, it takes a lot of time to pprocess and in the end it does not
send. What could be the problem. I think that there are too many recipents?
but what can I do to send it once to all of them through outlook.
Is it a possibility. Please be aware that I am very poor with IT so the
answer will have to be spelled out for me!

thanks,

A distribution list of that size is FAR FAR too large.
For an emailing of that size you a) need to check with your ISP that you can
do this and b) use a mail merge instead of a D/L.

You'd be better off using a mass mail approach.
