I read on the web Sue Moshers webpage about changing the forms, but I'm not
sure I understand the sentence "Programmers, however, will see the older layout when they put an Outlook 2003 contact form into design mode. If you modify the first page, the form will display the layout that you set for that page. If you do not modify the first page, Outlook 2003 will show the new contact layout for the first page, plus any custom pages you create." Does it mean that if I modify the DESIGN MODE DISPLYED FORM, the changes will never show up in the DEFAULT OUTLOOK FORM. In that case I have to move all contacts to the "OLD" but REDESIGNED FORM" to make use of the changes?!?!? I only want to do 1 thing. I'd like to put in an extra texbox adjacent to the Company filed and use it for company "suffixes", like Ltd., A/S, etc. that very often uses characters you cannot use in filenames. Especially in word I use the address book when making fax merges and the document is automatically saved with the company name as one parameter. I other cases I, in adress headers I want the right, full name displayed. Until now I've been using "Office location" to put in the suffixes but it's on page2 in the form, and very offten I forget it when registering a contact. Can you please help me to solve this problem? What you do when you customize forms is create new forms, based on the built-in default form. There are ways to make the new form you create act as the default. See http://www.outlookcode.com/d/newdefaultform.htm I only want to do 1 thing. You can put the field on the first page, with the side effect that you cited above, that you will no longer see the new contact layout with the picture area. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP |
