I have a DL with 500 - 200 contacts in it that I have to create each time I
want to send a delayed email message. Outlook is running in connect mode, not cached. Not all contacts are receiving the email sent, internal contacts (within the company) seem to receive the email, but external clients do not. Error Message: Operation Failed. |

Have a look at the following article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;238569 There are 2 ways to look at this question: - If I send a message, is there a limit of how many I can send to? - If I build a distribution list, is there a limit? The answer is Yes to both. The 1st one is limited by your ISP or Mail Server. The second is also yes, however it depends on how much information you have in each contact. There is not an exact number of contacts that you can add to a DL (distribution list). If you only store a name and e-mail address, then the limit may be between 125 to 130 contacts. If you store more info than just the minimum then you may only be able to add between 50 and 70 contacts. The article above will explain in more detail. Nikki "Constance" wrote in message ... Version of Outlook? Do you have all updates installed? Outlook 2007 SP2
lifts the limits in the DL but even so, there may be limits on the SMTP server. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
