Default Making a custom form the default and mapping user-defined fields

I have 2 questions:

1. I have created a custom form and published it (saved it). I want all my
contacts (1400+) to be viewed with this form as the default. I want to enter
all new contacts in using this as the default form, too.

2. I have created 4-5 new user-defined (custom) fields. When I imported
from Excel, I could not map the info to these new fields. They were not an
option in the custom mapping window.

Thanks for any help!

1) See http://www.outlookcode.com/d/newdefaultform.htm

2) Outlook doesn't support importing to custom fields. You'd have to write code or use a third-party application. See http://www.outlookcode.com/d/customimport.htm.

Sue,

You are da bomb! Thanks for the help. One last (we'll see if last, but at
this time, last) question:

When I use the Find toolbar at the top and my search results show up they
are displayed in the IPM.Contact form instead of my default form with I have
been using successfully (changed all message classes to new default form). I
want my custom form to be displayed.

Thanks,
Mark

Are you up to date on your Office service packs? This problem was resolved in Office 2003 SP1, IIRC.
