I'm using O2003SP. Just new to forms and customizing them. I want to
add default text into the notes field. I'm noting coding, basically just using what is provided. How do I make the Notes field active so I can type default text into the notes field? When I click on it, its active, I but I can't click inside it to enter default text. Thxs srm |

Run your form, then type the text, then publish the form.

Sue - Thanks. I may have stated my question incorrectly. I'm in the
design part of the form. When I click on the Notes field, this is where I want to enter default text so whenever I create a new contact, those notes will already be listed. When I click on the notes field, it is active, but I can't get it to where there is a cursor in the Notes field so I can enter text. I tried F2, F5, etc. Its kind of like the Initial Value for the field. srn |

Sue - Clicked on Send to fast. I got it to work the way you noted.
Thank you. However, I was able to get access to the field in Design view. That is what I was trying to figure out. srm wrote: Sue - Thanks. I may have stated my question incorrectly. You have to do it the way I said or run a macro to set the value of the Body property.
