Hello,
I've been having conflict errors for a very long time and think I have come very close to figuring out the problem. Outlook 2003 Tasks in public folders. All computers set to not use cache mode in account settings My computer never has cache problems. When I open a task, it creates 3 temporary files. When I close the task, all the temporary files are automatically deleted. The temp files reside he C:\Documents and Settings\Joel.Allen\Local Settings\Temp\ - file names are ~DF6FA1.tmp, ~DF6F91.tmp, and FS1F0.tmp. Another computer with another user always has cache problems. When she opens a task, it creates 3 temporary files. When she closes the task, 2 of 3 of the temporary files are automatically deleted. It leaves one behind. FS1F0.tmp for example. I think this may be causing the conflict error because whenever she opens the task, it's looking at old data from the temp file perhaps. Also, when she and myself close Outlook completely, all the temp files are deleted so the conflict error will not occur. Any idea why it leavs that one .tmp file behind? Your help is so much appriciated, Joel |
