Default User information on form

We have set up some calendar folders in our Public folders so our users can
schedule their own bookings for some of our resources. Unfortunately not
everyone remembers to put their name somewhere in the appointment form when
making the booking, and so if there are any questions regarding that booking
it can be a long process trying to find the user who made the booking.

I'm sure I've probably overlooked something horribly obvious
here.........but is there a way to automatically capture the person's userID
and add it to the booking data when they make their booking, or some other
way of finding out who made an appointment in the public folder?

If you display the folder in a table view, you should be able to add the Originator field to the view and see who created what .
