Hi,
Our company has created an Outlook '07 Addin using form regions to send and receive faxes. We use form regions with an integrated activeX control to view faxes (tif format) when opening the mail item that includes the fax or when viewing it from the reading pane. Our problem is the following: If after we receive the fax in our inbox we double click to open the item (while it being unread) a new inspector opens and straight after the focus goes back to the reading pane. What we expect to happen is to open the item and not lose focus of it at all. What we believe is happening is that our activeX control that is used in the form region to view the fax takes longer to load than the openning of the item in an inspector and so it gets the focus after the item has been opened. Note that if the item is not unread then this is not happening. The item opens in an inspector normally and never loses its focus. We thought that two things might happen he Either our activeX control sets the focus to itself after it loads the file (in this situation the attached tif file of the mail item) or Outlook gives focus to the reading pane since its the one that gets loaded later than the inspector. Thanks in advance. Nikolas |
