(Outlook 2002, SP3)
I have an Outlook custom form, public folder based, and it has been working mostly. When it works a new form instance would be stored in a public folder. However a user has aproblem where after filling out a new form and clinhg the send button, teh form is sent as an attachment (with .msg extension). I ahve got the attachment (and coudl save it as an .oft file if desired). How can I save/convert the .msg attachment (or .oft file) as a proper form instance in teh public folder? Thanks Long |

For an item, just drag it into the folder. For a form, publish it to the folder. It's not really clear from your description which you have there.

I have managed to"convert" the attachment to "proper" form by opening the
email with the attachment, drag and drop the attachment to the public folder, then change the item's message class to the correct form's message class. Just wonder if there is another way. The "other way" would involve writing Redemption or Outlook 2007 code to save the attached file, import it, and change the message class.
