new posts do not open in custom form

Default new posts do not open in custom form

hi
in outlook 2003 i have a custom form for posting in a particular folder.
outlook opens this custom form when i try to create a new post, i create a
new post and send it to my self.
when i try to open this post it's not opening in my custom form.

not sure what i am missing.

Your description is confusing. Posts are saved in folders, not sent.

Where is the form published?

You still didn't say where the formis published. How do you know it's not using your custm form? What does Help | About This Form say?

this form is published in Organizational form library.

forms help/about shows blank
version: blank
form number: blank
contact: blank

if i try to open a post that was posted using my custom form, outlook opens
it in default outlook form

Default new posts do not open in custom form

First, you should set the version number for a form before publishing each update. This information is invaluable in troubleshooting.

It sounds like you might not have clicked the Edit Read Page to create a read layout for your form. Post forms by default use dual compose and read layouts. You may need to turn that option off or create the read layout.
