Hi!
I got a *.oft file which I have to distribute. We don't want to use Exchange Folder because the form is only usefull for one location. Is it possible to distribute via SMS? I thought about a small batch file which copies the file from a server share to the client's programms directory. Is it possible? What do you recommend? many thanks in advance Juan |

It's just a file. You can use any method you normally use to distribute files to users.
The real question is, what is the purpose of this .oft file? If it's anything more than a boilerplate message template, it's not likely to work as an unpublished form. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Microsoft Outlook 2007 Programming: Jumpstart for Power Users and Administrators http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?id=54 "Juan" wrote in message ... Hello Sue,
okay in which folder do I have to copy the file? Have I to configure the outlook clients manually? thanks Juan "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: It's just a file. Again, it's just a file. You can put it in any folder you want. There is no client configuration involved in using .oft files.
However, you didn't answer my question about .oft file's purpose. An ..oft file may not even be appropriate for what you want to accomplish. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Microsoft Outlook 2007 Programming: Jumpstart for Power Users and Administrators http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?id=54 "Juan" wrote in message ...
