Edit Task form
Sorry, that limitation is by design.

Why not just create your own task form from scratch?

Edit Task form
If you build a custom Task form based on any other item template, you will
not get any Task related functionality. i have similar problem can't spend the time/expertize in creating TASK form
for scratch. is there is anyway someone can email me a TASK form that is could be edited and suggest how I make outlook recognize that. THANKS!
