Is there an alternative to sending a custom form's definition without
checking the "Send form definition with item" checkbox? Here is my situation: I'm in a scenario where I don't have rights to publish form's to the Organizational Forms Library (OFL). Without these rights, I'm forced to find alternative ways for recipients to use my form successfully. The following lists different scenarios which I've tried: 1. Check the "Send form definition" checkbox -- results in form being one-off ... vbScript doesn't run (simple code .. sends form to a specified email address). 2. Uncheck the "Send form definition" checkbox -- b/c my form is not published in the OFL, custom controls do not appear when recipient receives this email. 3. Uncheck checkbox, remove vbScript, enable Reply button to send form to specific address -- Recipient receives message "The form you selected could not be displayed" .. I assume this relates to form not published on recipients pc. I'm guessing that publishing the custom form on each recipients' pc will resolve the issue, but the decision-makers in my dept don't trust end-users to follow instructions correctly. I've read that publishing a custom form can be done programmatically, but I'm not sure how to approach this (using vbScript won't work b/c it won't fire on unpublished forms ... the reason I'm in this mess to begin with). Is there a way for recipients to use my form without it being published to the OFL? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Boyd |
