Default Unknown Problem

I am running outlook 2002 on vista. The recent problem got on computer.I also
have PC clline AV.
(a) On start of outlook express a pop up of window shows stating " A unknown
programme is trying to acces your outlook. It may be virus...... Please
confirm if you want it to be permitted.." Ofcourse Yes & No tabs are also
there. So I press NO. But frequency of appearing of this window is so high
that I can't click NO fast enough & this window remain virtually permamnent.
Further, as this window appears nothing can be done. The AV couldn't detect
anything.
(b) Can any one help. If it is virus how do I take care of it?
Thanks

Default Unknown Problem

That warning is standard when another program like Outlook Express uses
Outlook to send an e-mail. Nothing to worry about unless you are not
controlling the action.

Thanks Eric,
The reply has been helpful to assure me that it can be fixed. However, I
couldn't fix it because it shows actions required to be taken at outlook code
level. How do I get there.
Secondly, say if I remove outlook 2002 & install outlook 2003 ( another
option I have) will this problem be solved.
Thanks
- Kumar

It's not something that needs to be "fixed", and you can't really do anything
about it unless you are developing a solution using Outlook. The only way to
avoid security prompts from an end-user's perspective is to upgrade to
Outlook 2007, or in a corporate Exchange environment you can see if your
administrator can manage this.

If you want to pay for a hack, you can buy this:

Do you have any other programs that scan e-mails, like junk filters,
attachment extension filter, etc.? Which program exactly is opening the
warning window, or is it Windows itself? Basically, which program is the
"guard" of such action? In my PC it is my Firewall that surveys over such
actions.

Have you tried disconnecting your PC from the net and disabling ALL
protection programs, AV, Firewall, AntiSpyware...?

Does this happen in SafeMode?
