Default Dropdown Validation when empty

How do I validate a combo box. I have a standard value set, and if they
don't chose it the standard value would be there (i.e. choose something from
the dropdown). So in validation I want to say if the field still contains
"choose something from th dropdown), then provide a message indicating it is
required to choose something.

Any help you can provide... thanks.

On the Validation tab, use this formula:

[YourFieldName] "Choose something from the dropdown"

and provide an appropriate validation message.
