Default Outlook's ability to output xls

Hi,

I was wondering what sort of options there are to use an outlook 2003 form
to output information in xls format?

Thanks for any input

Outlook's only native ability to output xls is through the FIle | Import and Export command, which doesn't handle custom fields. You'll probably need to write your own custom code or use a third-party application. See http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?ID=23

What about this:

Create an Outlook view that displays all the fields you want to see, ordered
as you choose. Then copy and paste the view's contents into Excel?

Thanks for your responses i'll be sure to look into it.

@Bill - is that very much a manual process then since it involves copying
and pasting?

Yes, it's manual, so if it has to be done frequently you could choose to
automate it. But it's so few steps I don't know how much you'd gain.

[In an Outlook view of the item(s)]
Ctrl-A (to Select All) or Select only the desired item(s)
Ctrl-C (to copy)

[In a blank Excel workbook]
Crtl-V (to paste)

Done
