Default Advice to set up a script or macro (Outlook 2010)

Hi everyone, newbie here, to the forum, Outlook and VBA! I'm hoping someone can help me do something which should, in my opinion, be pretty simple, but I have no idea how to start.

I am running Outlook 2010. I have the Developer tab enabled on the ribbon.

Each month I have to send a specific email to a specific address. It very rarely changes, and when it does it is only the body text which may have a small alteration or two.

I have saved the message as a template. I know that to use it, I have to do the following:

Home Tab...New Items...More Items...Choose Form, then Look In 'User Templates in File System', select my message, and I can then click send.

What I want to do is create a button or link, to do all that for me. What in the past in most MS apps would have been record a macro, do each step, stop recording and then whenever I wanted to, I could run the macro.

As far as I can tell, I can't create a macro on OL2010, I need a VB Script, and I would probably be OK doing that if I had a clue what to put in the script - but I don't

I would also then like to attach the script to a button if possible.

Can anyone help me do this please? Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Pete.
