Hi, Outlook- experts,
I modified the IPM.TASK item and published in a public folder. Now after I've read some artikels about cache, I have one question. This public folder is set to accessable for all users. To ensure that this folder is also available offline, we asked the user to add this folder into the favorite and set "download the public favorite folder" as TRUE. But a problem occurs when the user is offline and the form is not found in the cache. Then the user defined form could not be loaded. The only solution I could think is to use the one-off form (to store the form in the item). But I've read so much about one-off form and all indicate that on-off form may cause unexpected behavior. And I have no idea how it will impact on the performancen, because all items in this folder will be read and filled into one combobox of another user defined form. Has anyone a better idea? Lucia |

Hi, Sue,
as my form doesn't contain any VBScript and will be only used to save up to 300 items, I decided to use one-off form. The size of all items are doubled, but is still acceptable... But if you have any new idea, I'd appreciate it. best regards Lucia |

There's an option in the Send/Receive Settings for Synchronize Forms. I bet it's not checked in your case.

Hi, Sue,
Thanks a lot for your reply... Do you mean the synchronization the items in public folder and in favorite? It will just synchronize the items, but will not download the form definition. Or am I wrong? regards Lucia |

Did you look at the Send/Receive Settings details as I suggested? The options are quite clear -- downloading forms is a setting separate from downloading items.
