Default Receiving incomplete/missing Attachments on Outlook 2003

I have a .pop (I believe this to be the correct term) email account setup (to
receive email messages from my school email address) and for some time I have
not been receiving entire attachments from senders. If there is a series of
photos (ex: .jpg) I will only receive maybe one of the photos and even this
photo may be incomplete and cutoff at the bottom. It is also affecting
attachments such as .ppt (powerpoint) and music and video files. The entire
email received is typically no larger than about 87kb, while the actual email
should be larger. I have tried setting up the .pop account again, but it
seems to have no effect.

I have also had difficulty sending emails with attachments, receiving the
error message: Task 'pop.vt..edu' - Sending' reported error (0x800ccc13) :
'Unable to connect to the network. Check your network connection or modem.'
(this has mainly applied to video and photo attachments). But I can still
send text-only emails.

Any help with resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Please repost to microsoft.public.outlook.general, as this is a programming
