I'd like to have a counter, a timer, that runs (counts the time) as
long as outlook is the current active window (ie the window on top, and the user is reading/writing emails, sorting folders, anything) and stops when the person switches to another window.. I'd be grateful for pointing me to the right direction? Thanks, Morris |

![]() I'd assume that's possible with subclassing from within Outlook. Probably WM_ACTIVATEAPP is the message you should look for. If you want to get that message from a different process then a hook (not possible with VB but C++ e.g.) would be necessary. -- Viele Gruesse / Best regards Michael Bauer - MVP Outlook Quick-Cats - Categorize Outlook data: http://www.vboffice.net/product.html?id=2006063&cmd=detail&lang=en&pub=6 Am 3 May 2007 07:14:19 -0700 schrieb Morris: I'd like to have a counter, a timer, that runs (counts the time) as long as outlook is the current active window (ie the window on top, and the user is reading/writing emails, sorting folders, anything) and stops when the person switches to another window..
