Default Deploying custom code

Macros are not easy to distribute. The professional approach is to develop
your solution as a COM Add-In and deploy it as Windows Installer packages.

See the VBAProject.otm section he

Writing VBA code for Microsoft Outlook:

But if this is only two users, you might as well just copy over the macros
and manually create a button linking it to the code - it'll take far less
time than writing a COM Add-In (especially if you've never built one before).
But keep it in mind for future projects!

I am putting together some code to write out the entryids for selected email
to a file (thanks to Michael Bauer for the help) where my app can read the
ids. I want this code to run from a custom button in OUtlook.

My question concerns deploying this capabilty. That is, I need to deliver
this to multiple clients who are running my app now. This means I can have
at least 2 problems -- I need a way to have my client easily install the
custom button and associate it to the code for their site. Is there a way to
do this short of forcing them to do it manually thru outlook menus? And
secondly, will I run into security issues in OL that will prevent them from
running the code?

I am new to OL programming. Truly appreciate any help on this,
Mark
