Default Sending a Distribution List to someone (not sending TO a Distribution List)

Hello All

I've tried emailing a DL by

1 Opening new email Insert Item Select the DL. The DL appears as an
attachment, but when it gets to the person I've sent it to, the names are
not there. (I've tried both attaching as Attachment and Text Only)

2 Opening new email, selecting the DL from my contacts list and dragging it
into the new email.
