Not sure if I am in the right spot, so please forgive me if I am not.
Does anyone know when Microsoft dropped the ECE module in Exchange 2003? We have a document management system that ties into Exchange, and the issue we have realtes to mounted mailboxes, where EAs/PAs do email filing on behalf of their bosses. We have found that those using mounted mailboxes, get a MAPI Error - KB893420, error when trying to load emails into our DMS. Our DMS vendor has indicated that their integration is hardcoded on the OpenEntry of the ECE, which has been dropped in Outlook/Exchange 2003. Thanks |

ECE has nothing to do with Exchange Server.
ECE is a predecessor of COM add-ins (introduced in Outlook 2000). ECEs originated first in Exchange Client (before Outlook 97 was first released). ECE are supported in all versions of Outlook up to and including Outlook 2007. They will not be supported in Outlook 2010. -- Dmitry Streblechenko (MVP) http://www.dimastr.com/ OutlookSpy - Outlook, CDO and MAPI Developer Tool - "V2" wrote in message ...
